Lifted capsicum, passionfruit, lime, green mango and apple aromas all evident on the nose. The palate mirrors all those characters as well offering stonefruit and rock melon flavours.
A fresh acidity is balanced by this lovely concentration of fruit and the wine features the chalky texture that this vineyard is well known for.
Mouth-wateringly moreish, but totally approachable, this wine will possibly be at its best in about 12 months time. As the vibrancy mellows, it will still be delicious – enjoy over the next few years.
Shellfish (especially oysters)! Or any seafood that is simply prepared with just a squeeze of lemon and hint of seasoning. Also delicious with spicy foods, goat’s cheese, salads, asparagus and other vegetables. It also provides a lovely contrast to richer foods such as patés, terrines and parfaits.
