There’s no mistaking the pungency and varietal signature of this wine with a bouquet of fresh green kiwifruit and cape gooseberry, then lime and Granny Smith apple. On the palate, a just-dry expression with a backbone of acidity and a saline quality. Flavours of tropical kiwifruit, apple and citrus continue into a balanced and even finish. Wellmade and ready to drink from day of purchase through January 2027. 90 points.

Sauvignon Blanc 2025

This aromatic, flavoursome wine has all the classic hallmarks of great Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, but with 30% less alcohol than our 2025 Estate Sauvignon Blanc.

Vineyards and viticulture

Created using only natural vineyard practices (no industrial processes), the growing season was marked by good flowering and a dry, warm summer. We used special canopy management techniques to ensure flavour but less alcohol. This involved leaf -plucking and trimming to reduce the rate of photosynthesis, which lead to less sugar in the grapes and therefore less alcohol, to reduce ripening by limiting.

Winemaking

The grapes for this special wine were picked earlier than those for our other Sauvignon Blancs and all the hard work in the vineyard was mirrored in the winery. They were gently pressed and the juice cool-fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected cultured yeast.

Food Pairing

Seafood, shellfish, salads, feta, goat cheese, fresh herbs, Vietnamese-style dishes, garlic prawns, light Thai dishes or enjoy just as a refreshing glass of expressive, stylish Sauvignon Blanc!
