One of the most heralded Sauvignon Blancs from New Zealand’s famous Marlborough region, this single vineyard wine is made with great care.
Blind River Sauvignon Blanc captures the essence of Marlborough in an intense way as only the Awatere Valley can do. Distinct aromas include pink grapefruit, gooseberry, and passionfruit along with delicate floral notes and red and green peppers. The palate is crisp and dry, yet flavour-packed and has a distinctive chalky texture. Approximately 10% of the juice is fermented in old French oak barrels with wild yeast before being blended back into the stainless-steel portion. This rounds off the acidity and enhances the wine’s texture and complexity giving an added layer of interest while not compromising the vibrancy of the fruit.
Certified 100% sustainable. Owned and created by Lawson’s Dry Hills, a certified carbon zero winery.
