Welcome

You’ll always receive a warm welcome at our home on Alabama Road. Our Reserve wines are open for you to taste and often something special such as one of our limited Pioneer wines, or a wine from Blind River. Tastings are $10 per person, but this is waived if you make a bottle purchase.

You can also pick your own platter with a range of local cheeses, cured meats, paté and salmon. Or bring your own picnic and enjoy with a glass of our wine. The picturesque courtyard affords views of our famous hills – the ones that are on our label – and you can see the original illustration hanging on the cellar door wall.

Opening hours

After the last cruise ship Sunday April 14, we’re reverting to our winter hours. From April 15 until October 26 we’re open Monday to Friday, 10am-4.30pm. Closed weekends and public holidays. Come and visit us with your friends and family, we’d love to see you!

Although not essential, during our busy summer months (Oct – March) we do recommend booking your tasting, just give us a call on 03 578 7674 to book or email us.

Our Cellar Door Host is Nigel, but you may also meet Carol or Delphine, all of whom look forward to showing you our home and our wines.

If you’d like to make a difference when it comes to environmental sustainability, you can proudly select our wines knowing they are certified 100% sustainable and our winery is certified carbon-zero. We are doing everything we can to reduce our environmental footprint, and even enhance it, with native plantings at our vineyards to encourage biodiversity.

To commemorate our sustainable status – we’d like to give you a packet of wildflower seeds when you visit us!

Thanks to our great partnership with Yachting New Zealand we also have some great Zhik sailing shirts and caps for purchase.

Our favourite winery
Our favorite vineyard on tour in the Marlborough district. Nigel managed both our group and another smoothly. There is some lovely seating outside which would be perfect for enjoying one of their superior wines and a platter (I don’t know if they do platters - but they should). Great wine tasting experience

Wir fuhren hin weil das Weingut eine Vielfalt von Weinen hat. Wir erhielten eine perfekte Weinprobe. Vor allem der Tramiener ist sehr gut. Aber auch die anderen Weine sind ausgezeichnet. Excellent winery experience.
Lawson’s Dry Hills was the first winery we visited on our self guided tour today. Nevena was welcoming,friendly and very knowledgeable and the wines she offered were all delectable. It was a great start to our day as she gave us lots of tips for the Marlborough area and other places to visit too. One of the best wineries in New Zealand!
This is a must do cellar door visit when in Marlborough as we think it is one of the best wineries in New Zealand.  Our cellar door experience with Nevena was delightful.....she was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly.  Disappointed that their Gewurztraminer wasn't on tasting....but then most people probably already know how sensational it is already :)  All the wines we tried were delicious, well made and value for money but the stand out for us was the reserve chardonnay that we will patiently (or maybe not) wait for it to improve over the next few years!

A fantastic cellar door experience
Enjoyed the wine tasting experience greatly. Attendant was most friendly, knew their product and local knowledge extremely well! Able to combine awesome wines with some other local produce onsite to prepare our picnic in the valley. Best cheers to the Marlborough wine growers and their teams. Lunch in the vineyard (BYO)
Whilst researching which vine yards to visit while visiting the Marlborough area I was delighted to see a bring you own lunch option.  Amazing  wines on offer and wonderful helpful staff.  You are invited to bring your own lunch or buy from them.  They have a lovely range of wines to taste, a picturesque setting, welcoming staff ,my type of place.
