The Pioneer celebrates Lawson’s Dry Hills founder Ross Lawson. It is hand-crafted only in exceptional years from our finest estate-grown, Marlborough grape varieties.
Created exclusively from the Tilly’s hillside block in the Southern Valleys sub-region, this elegant yet powerful Pinot Noir offers an authentic representation of this enigmatic grape variety and the special place it was grown.
Cherry and raspberry are complemented by smoky French oak notes that combine to produce an intriguing, enticing nose. On the palate a delightful richness unfolds with velvety tannins and a lovely density which together produce a wine that is both powerful, elegant, rewarding and memorable.
